My Mail Stationery is an add-on for Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Incredimail, and other email clients. The program is installed as a toolbar plug-in in Internet Explorer and in Outlook Express. It allows users to select a huge variety of background stationary for their email messages.

My Mail Stationary is part of the Fun Web Products software package. This is the same suite that contains Smiley Central, Cursor Mania, Popular Screensavers, and PopSwapper.

Fun Web Products claim that their programs aren’t spyware applications. However, these programs can drain precious system resources and ultimately slow down a computer. These programs use cookies to track browsing habits, even though they offer a guarantee that they don’t sell the personal information that they collect. How to Uninstall My Mail Stationery

*Click on the Start button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. In the Start menu, click on Control Panel (Depending on the version of Windows that is installed on a PC, Control Panel may be located under the settings menu).

*Click on Add/Remove Programs. This will open a window listing programs installed on the PC.

*Locate entries labeled My Web Search or My Mail Stationery in this listing of programs. Click on each entry and then click on Change/Remove to delete the program. Close the window.

*With HijackThis installed, restart the computer in Safe Mode. It can be booted into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key on the keyboard while the computer loads.

*Run HijackThis once the PC is in Safe Mode, so as to scan for My Mail Stationery adware and any of its associated files. Once HijackThis runs its scan, review the the entries listed in the HijackThis log that will open

*Delete any entries which HijackThis locates, which contain the term My Mail Stationery or MyWebSearch. It is important not to delete any other entry before determining with certainty that it is malicious, because an important system process or file may accidentally be deleted.

Close HijackThis and then open My Computer. In the My Computer window, double-click on Drive C. Next, double-click the folder named Program Files.

Delete the following folders. Simply right-click each folder and select Delete.

*FunWebProducts

*MyWebSearch
